Set Up Eudora To Check Mail and Send Mail (Win)

Setting up Eudora is easy if you have the right information. You will need to look through the information you got from your Internet Service Provider or give them a call and find out the following information. Once you have it, you are ready to set up Eudora. If you are running a Macintosh, click here

 
  1. Use this form to fill in what you need and save it for future reference.
    1. Your POP or mail server:
    2. Your SMTP or outgoing mail server:
    3. Your email login name:
    4. Your email address:

    Now you are ready to get started!

 

Set up Eudora to check and send email?

  1. In Eudora, go to the Tools menu and select OPTIONS.
    Set as Default Mail Client

  3. In the Options window, you will see several icons on the left.
  4. Select Getting Started (circled in red).

  6. In the Real Name field, type your name the way you would like people to see it when they get email from you.
    For example, John Doe.
    Select Getting started

  8. In the Return Address field, enter your email address.
    For example: username@yourdomain.com

  10. In the Mail Server (Incoming) field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.

  12. In the Login Name field, enter your username .
        For example: eudora-user.

  14. In the SMTP Server (Outgoing) field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.

  16. There should be a check in the Allow Authentication field.
            Leave the check there!
    If you do not see a check in the box, click on the box with your mouse until a check appears.

  18. Click OK.
    This completes the basic setup - you should now be able to send and receive email in Eudora.
